What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness is the practice of being fully present and aware of what we’re doing, while we are doing it. It's simple but not easy ! Over the eight weeks of the Mindful Based Living Course course we will begin to notice our habitual over-thinking, busy minds, and learn to use simple meditation and movement practices to help us to begin to understand how our mind works. We will learn how we can help it settle the mind and rest. And we do all this with gentleness, kindness and acceptance, because we know it's hard living with these human minds. Mindfulness Based Living Course**
The course is experiential – we learn by doing - so each week includes a small amount of teaching, some mindfulness meditation practices plus a chance to reflect and to share your experiences. There will also be an additional day long mini “Mindfulness retreat practice” to be arranged one weekend towards the end of the course. Over the 8 weeks, we will explore:

* The course costs £60 (waged), £30 (unwaged) and payment can be made in two instalments if required. If you would like to do the course, but will have difficulty paying, please have a chat with us at the introductory session.
** Group members will receive a copy of the Mindfulness Based Living Course book as part of the course as well as information about the guided meditations and exercises for practice between sessions.
