"It reduces my anxiety and generally increases my peace of mind. It is also good just to experience silence in a very busy noisy world."

What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness is the practice of being fully present and aware of what we’re doing, while we are doing it. It's simple but not easy !
Over the eight weeks of the Mindful Based Living Course course we will begin to notice our habitual over-thinking, busy minds, and learn to use simple meditation and movement practices to help us to begin to understand how our mind works. We will learn how we can help it settle the mind and rest. And we do all this with gentleness, kindness and acceptance, because we know it's hard living with these human minds.
The course is experiential – we learn by doing - so each week includes a small amount of teaching, some mindfulness meditation practices plus a chance to reflect and to share your experiences. There will also be an additional longer mini “Mindfulness retreat practice” to be arranged one weekend towards the end of the course.
Over the 8 weeks, we will explore:
About The Mindfullness Collective.
Lyn, Anna and Marianne trained as Mindfulness teachers with the Mindfulness Association (www.mindfulnessassocation.net). We all find mindfulness practice to be extremely helpful in our own lives and so we are keen to offer Mindfulness, in supportive groups, at as low a cost as possible.
