Menopause is a natural transition that can have a big impact on your health, identity, and life - affecting self-esteem, relationships, family, work, and more. It can be a time of deep physical, mental, emotional, sensual and spiritual awakening and change, as we enter our ‘second spring’ of life.
A therapeutic support group consists of around eight people who meet for a common purpose. It is a safe, confidential, and affirming space to talk about your thoughts, feelings, wants and needs - perhaps saying things out loud for the first time - and to be in the company of others with similar experiences. This group is open to everyone with personal / lived menopause experience (pre, peri and post etc).
Neither Anne - nor anyone else in the group - is qualified to diagnose or offer opinions about your menopause, hormone replacement, or any other medical matter. Speak with your GP / clinician about any health concerns.
These groups are facilitated by Anne Augustine. She is passionate about providing spaces for menopausal people to receive inclusive emotional support. She is a UKCP gestalt psychotherapist insured to practice as an advanced trainee. She has more than 10 years of personal menopause experience and has previously facilitated menopause cafes. Anne is also a certified yoga therapist to support holistic health and healing for mid-life. She has completed CPD and undertaken research about ageing and menopause; gender, sexuality, and relationship diversity; and intersectionality for her psychotherapy training and clinical practice.
