Pilgrimage to Paisley Abbey

Pilgrimage: a long journey or search, especially one of exalted purpose or moral significance.

We had a beautiful day for a walk to the Abbey on Saturday 19th April 2014. We set off from Langside Church at 10am and walked through Pollok Park and followed the cycle path right in to Paisley. We arrived at the Abbey just after 1pm.

The Abbey staff and volunteers gave us a wonderful welcome with tea and coffee and cakes.

The sun was streaming in through the stained glass windows giving a stunning display of colour.
