Walk 5 - Drumpellier Country Park: Tuesday 18th April
A gentle 6km/3.7mile walk through Drumpellier Country Park, taking in quiet woodland, a visit to the site of an Iron Age crannog, a natural loch, and nature trails.
Terrain: mostly level, tarmac walkways, good woodland tracks with muddy patches.
Toilets and refreshments are available in the visitors’ centre about half way through the walk. Please bring lunch or snacks unless you want to buy something (and in case the café is closed).
Travel: Train from Glasgow Queen Street to Blairhill takes 20 minutes (£4.20 return).
Meet in Glasgow Queen Street station, near the ticket office at 9.10am for the 9.27am train. Or meet at Blairhill train station at 9.47am. Please let us know whether you plan to meet at Queen Street or Blairhill.
